Powe®Evolutions represents the evolution of my own music over a period of around 6 months. All music was written on GarageBand using AppleLoops or the instruments in the app.
The title Powe®Evolutions is an attempt at being multilayered and deep. The ® is a nod to the app that I used and the artists and programmers (whoever they all are) Upon whose shoulders I stood to create this album..
Power refers first to the simple fact that electronica in general requires electricity - power. But it also refers to the power holders, the powers that be. If you must, the Man.
Evolutions refers both to the music and my evolution as a musician during the compilation of this album, but also the evolution of humanity and society now, as one.
Which leads to the Revolutions. It is my desire for us all to evolve, to learn, adapt to doing and using less with our resources, but also to still create. Creation drives our evolution. But without a revolution, both in thought and in actions, society and civilization worldwide will fall. There's no new edm, no new house, no new dubstep, no new anything after that. So let's not go there. Let's not end the world like so many self fulfilling prophecies.
Instead let's dance. Let's love. Let's rise above pettiness and solve the world's problems with intelligence and togetherness, open sourcing the solution to the end of everything.
